Paralympic archer, Kay Lucas accompanied by local sports champions cut the ribbon in April 2010 to open the new Leisure Centre which will be used by local schools and community groups.

Sports FM Ltd installed over 600m2 of 23mm Arenaﬂex Elevation Stadium Beech system.

Arenaﬂex Elevation is an area elastic sports floor made up of recycled impact-resistant and highly durable cradles. An integral 10mm foam impact pad on the underside which supports softwood battens. The system has been fully tested and approved to EN14904:2006 Type A4, on top you can choose either Arenaﬂex Stadium, Arenaﬂex Olympia or Arenaﬂex Squash. As a FIBA (Federation of International Basketball) Study Centre Partner Arenaﬂex Stadium on Logic has been approved for competition levels 1,2 and 3.

Arenaflex Elevation System is a resilient hardwood floor laid onto a highly durable cradle system. It is suitable for installation with underfloor heating systems and insulation. Arenaflex is suitable for new constructions as well as renovation. In addition, construction time can be reduced as no levelling compound or similar is needed. Arenaflex is easy to handle and transport as it is delivered in practical pre-cut and fixed lengths.
