The Arena is made up of five main areas including luxurious swimming facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and an impressive 500-seat auditorium. On his visit to the Arena BDP Architects Director, Peter Jenkins said “It was extremely encouraging to see the building in use for the first time. It’s a suitable tribute to all the people who have contributed to the development of the project over the last 10 years. We hope that the people of Middleton get many years of enjoyment out of the completed project”. Over 800m2 of BOEN Arenaflex Maple was installed by their approved Sports Contractor Courtcraft Ltd over the BOEN Elevation floor levelling system which is approved to the new European Sports Standard EN14904: Type A4. Also over 100m2 of BOEN Arenaflex Oak was installed in the Lower Lounge.
