The school took part in a new pilot project seeing pupils taking part in an American style summer school. They will have access to literacy and numeracy studies during the mornings and a mix of educational, recreational and community projects in the afternoon. The Nightingale Academy replaced their old sprung vinyl sports floor with 930m2 of Elastflex Stadium Beech, which was line painted and finished with an extra coat of Bona Sportive Finish. The floor was purchased by Lambeth Dixon based in Sudbury, Suffolk and was installed in a joint venture between MJH Leisure and 4D Contract Flooring.
