Die 7 Millionen Pfund teure Carnegie-Grundschule, die im Rahmen des 126 Millionen Pfund umfassenden Zukunftsprogramms des Fife Councils gebaut wurde, überzeugt nicht nur duch innovatives Design – sie ist vermutlich auch Schottlands umweltfreundlichste Grundschule. Der Ministerpräsident zeigte sich beeindruckt: „Ich freue mich sehr, zum Schuljahresstart der neuen Carnegie-Grundschule Schüler und Lehrer zu begrüßen und gratuliere dem Fife Council, Frau Marnoch und allen anderen Beteiligten zu diesem wundervollen Gebäude“.

Im Juni 2011 wurden in der zentralen Mehrzweckhalle 438 m2  Arenaflex Olympia Flexbat Buche (21 mm) verlegt.

Arenaflex Flexbat is an area-elastic engineered sports floor offering a combination of rigidity and comfort suitable for sports halls, gymnasiums and recreation halls.

The Arenaflex boards are installed on top of BOEN Flexbat Battens which incorporate rubber pads providing the deformation and shock absorption needed according to European Standard EN14904.

Produced to production CE standard EN14342 and suitable for installation over underfloor heating and available in Oak, Beech, Ash and Canadian Maple all pre-finished with sports lacquer.
